Wow you guys sound as if you had a great time!

Well, I got loads of stuff off my mates and my family : A Johnny Depp Calender (yummy), a remote control mini(don't ask lol ), FCUK body spray and shower gel, a spa bath set, a cool purple bag, £45 in vouchers for WH Smiths and Virgin Mega Stores, £50 in cash (well actually it was a cheque lol), a HIM poster, Vodka chocolates (all eaten), '50 First Dates' on DVD (I love that movie!), a Hanson CD and ... a beautiful black electric guitar! Yay! It came with 6 Plectrums, a shoulder strap, a practice amp, tuning pipes, and manual. My 'rents gave me an electronic tuner and a guitar book to go with it! I think that's everything! Woohoo!

Now I just have to save some money for booze for New Year and a present for my mate Derryn lol (thought I would give you a warning so you can get her a card Franz lol)

My dear girl, come the 7th I'll not believe that I'm 18, let alone Derryn! It's like, almost being some sort of adult..perish the thought.

Edit: Upside, I could finally buy that Absinthe.

Absinthe? Yes, where a Brandy or an Armagnac is typically ~35% alcohol Absinthes are generaly 45% or 68%. Never more than 68%.

The difference come in that Brandy is drunk neat and Absinthe (like Pernod) is diluted a lot in iced-water. This is done to bring out the 'louche' or clouding of the drink. Though it means that you have less alcohol per volume, it also means that the body will take it in far more quickly that it would with a Brandy or other hard spirit.

Um, so yeah. It is very strong, but they almost always dilute it one part Absinthe to four or five of water.

I know I would! Think of all those long and difficult nights spent trying the taste the difference between Green and Yellow Chartreuse. Or out in the pub "studying" the quality of pub Brandies or..or... ..oh the mind boggles..

..Gah, the lack of the course, the injustice!
