I was curious as to what made a person bi - and whether or not u believed there was varying degrees of bi-ness. The other night when out drinking, my friends and i came up with this vague outline of sexuality - 1=very straight, 2=straight but will kiss ppl of same sex, 3=bi, 4=gay but will kiss ppl of the opposite gender, and 5=very gay. Just curious as to what ur thoughts were as well cos we were discussing gender/power and sexuality and gay dance music at uni (what a jk my course is!)

I would say that number thing is quite realistic. I would say that people could put them self somewhere on there. You've covered most aspects.
Nah, I'd say it's far more complicated than that. you get straight people who will kiss people of the same sex simply for attention and you get gay/bi people who will only kiss people of the opposite gender.
Suppression, repression and shame are things which I presume would make this a bit more complex.

quite tru. its such a hard thing to define because its so fluid
Well I thought it was better than simply: Gay, Bi, Straight! But its hard to catagorise people anyway, cuz people are full of emotion, they arent just statistics etc. Meh.
