ok, as I don't want to create more threads, some more info:


Ewen Bremner, 34, who played Spud in Trainspotting … has been spending time on the other side of the camera.


He’s been directing a documentary on rock band Placebo for the release of their fifth album.


He said: “I knew them a little when they started out but hadn’t seen them since until they approached me to do this.”


“It’s my first time directing and I’m enjoying it. It’s certainly a lot of hard work. The plan is to include the documentary with the album when it’s released.”

"Song To Say Goodbye" will be the first single from the new Placebo album.

UK and Worldwide singles announced


'Because I Want You’ will be the first single from the forthcoming album in the UK only, released on 27 February (tbc)


The first single Worldwide (excluding UK) we can now exclusively reveal will be the track ‘Song To Say Goodbye’, released on 27 February (tbc).

new album, new video..


BREAKING NEWS!


WANT TO BE IN THE NEXT PLACEBO VIDEO?


It’s happening next week! It’s LIVE! It’s 'BECAUSE I WANT YOU'!


Here’s what to do:
Turn up at KOKO (1a Camden Road, London NW1 OJH) on Tuesday 24th January at 6.30pm PROMPT. Doors will close at 7.30pm!


Placebo will be shooting the video for the new single ‘Because I Want You’.


Please note the following important points:


- By turning up at the venue (inside or outside) you are consenting to be filmed and agreeing to the use of your image in the video.


 


You must be over 16 years old and ID may be required to enter the venue.


- There are limited numbers so turning up does not guarantee entry (if we are over-subscribed). Admittance will be on a first come first served basis. (PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO ACCOUNT IF TRAVELLING FROM AFAR)


- We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone.


- No video cameras, cameras or mobile phones are allowed inside the venue. (THEY WILL BE REMOVED ON ENTRY)


- Please be prompt! Doors will close at 7.30pm. Filming will continue until approximately 10pm.


- You never know, Placebo may perform a couple of extra tracks for you……..

hmm...I just saw the artwork...and have to say: bodies again? oh, c'mon!! this is like looking at the Burger Queen single, SWG, or...OMWF...I would have liked more conceptual art..but well..I'll have to see the whole booklet..

I think that this album may is there best , which may is a logical consequence , the more experience you gathered the better youll be and so thats also true for placebo . Only i thought they lost some of their "bitterness" which gave the placebo songs a certain touch . they still got that , but well , may they are trying to create a bit of a new sound . I loved it though and i would always buy it again . . . nice work .
