...this is my concert umm...experience (yup, it's not exactly a review...) as promised (the first 4 paragraphs are just of me kinda babbling stuff of before the concert started, so you can skip those and go directly to where the concert began..)
..finally the day came. It was Sunday at 5:00 am when I woke up. I dressed up quickly, took my stuff (a bag with CDs and a jacket, and a little bag with the camera, lipstick, eyeliner, etc) and got into the car, cause my father was waiting for me. We were about to go, when my father said he was feeling a bit sick, so he went to the hospital to get some medicine, and took me home..We finally got on the road at 7:30 am. It was an 8 hour trip, aprox. Before we reached Monterrey, I played OMWF, "this is who we're gonna see" I told my father. He turned up the volume, and as Bruise Pristine was played, he asked: "the singer's a girl?" "...no, it's a man.." ..."no, it's only a man that has an earing, wears pink clothes and has long hair!" he said sarcastically (sp.) ...I just kinda smiled and swallowed my words...
We finally arrived to Monterrey, we had ate somethin and went to a mall (where I bought all my new albums) and then I started sending messages to Marisol (she was already on Monterrey). We accorded to meet at the auditorium, so my father drove me all the way through there. When I got outside the car I went to the venue's entrance, where were about 3 long rows of people, they were all waiting for the doors to open. So I found Marisol, and started talking, it was about 4 pm (and the concert started at 8:30 pm)..whilst talking with Marisol, I spotted 4 members from the STAK (i know there were more, but i only saw 4..), and that made me very happy (the STAK is the official mexican Placebo fanclub; it means Shoulders Toes And Knees) but I was way too shy and coy (just another nancy boy..sorry, couldn't help it ) to walk toward them and say hi..., oh, I also saw (and Marisol agreed with me) a guy that looked like Paul Banks..he even wore a pair of aviators!!
Anyway, the doors finally opened, but for my bad luck, I saw how the guards were checking every single part of you, searching for a camera, so I gave my bag to my father, and he took it to the car. And yeah, they checked you (or touched you..) as if they were searching for drugs of metal stuff before entering a plane..
Back to the topic, we got into the auditorium (note: on "we" I'm referring to Marisol, her brother, sister, and me, my father said he was gonna get in at 8:30 (!!!)) And as I had a ticket for section A, we got there, and stood in the division of section AA and A. After a looong wait (it was a really long wait..we got there since...6:30 or something like that) the lights went off. It was time for Vaquero to go onstage. They got out, and played about 5 songs. I really liked them, they were good.
(...what we were all waiting for), after 30 min, which made 9:30 pm, the lights went off again, and we all went crazy. Taste In Men began, and after some time, Steve came out and went to the drums. Then Brian got out, and we just couldn't scream more. He started singing, aswell as we did, it sounded amazing, cause it was like a massive chorus singing every song of the concert. Finally Stef came out and started playing. I just couldn't believe it. I was just a few meters away from 3 of the most special people I have in my heart. I couldn't help it, and while I was singing, tears rolled down my cheeks. When the song ended we screamed, clapped, cried..we had so much energy..I loved it. Tho, what kinda surprised me was that Protege Moi started, and then we started singing (in french of course), but Brian sang it in english!! they didn't played Protege Moi, but PMFWIW!! It was very good anyway, tho i completely adore Protege Moi. I nearly died when they played WYIN, I just love it so much. Even though my legs hurted like hell, when Special k began, I just couldn't stop jumping, singing and screaming , it was really crazy. When 36 Degrees started, I had to tell Marisol which song it was, cause she didn't know they did a remake of it. My heart was pounding so hard when they played Pure Morning, it's just a really special song for me, cause that was the very first thing I heard from then, and since then, my obsession began .
Then, they left, and on the encore, Xavior went onstage, and did a mini solo!! It was so ****ing amazing, I really loved it, he looked so gorgeous..so beautiful..and he's so talented!! Then, Brian came out and asked us to clap for Xav's solo (believe me, I was clapping, and screaming by my own, I didn't needed Bri to ask for it..) Twenty Years,..I'm speechless, it was completely amazing, just perfect. Now, I loved Nancy Boy..first, Brian whistled a bit of the song, while Stef played, and then it really began. There was so much euphoria with that song..it was really great!!

*I really liked to see so many guys wearing make up and nail polish *Stef and Brian spoke in spanish *Stef's gay dance = sooo sexy!!! *drools* <- i love it, and love him so much, (tho he also did it on ESR) *Brian looked gorgeous *ditto for Stef *ditto for when I could see Steve *ditto for Bill *same for Xavior *I could barely walk when it ended *on the concert I felt how hands were wandering all over my back..(note: the person behind me was a girl..) *Brian and the moth incident..lol.. *there was a pregnant girl *a guy took his 5 year old brother (I think it was his brother) to the concert (he carried him on his shoulders) and when Brian saw him, he (Bri) had a huge smile on his face *the 2 points above this one show future generations will have good taste *everyone from the STAK agree that this concert was the best from the 3 in Mexico, that the guys and audience had a lot more energy
I already miss you guys!! Come back, please!! I wanna see you again!!!!
Now I can confirm what I've always read or heard: Placebo is great!! (on and off stage) I really love them more now (I didn't know that was possible..)
oh, umm..and if you're wondering about what happened with my father..(I know you're not)..well, when the gig ended, he called me and told me he was in the car (!!) so when I got there, I was like "wtf are you doing here?!?" and he told me that he didn't liked the concert (he saw about 1 1/2 songs from Vaquero and 2 songs from Placebo, then he left..)
^ but to make me feel better, when I got home, my brother called me to ask me how I was, and if I had enjoyed the concert. He said he was very sad that he couldn't attend to it, and almost went crazy when I told him that they'd play Nancy Boy !
I hope you like this (and hope I didn't bored you...) and sorry if I'm not very clear sometimes, it's just that I'm still excited about it..
PS: I'll post pics later..don't worry..

Hunny! I am so happy for you! It sounds like a fantastic concert, and that was a fab review. I was nearly in tears, it sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for posting, an I hope to see your photos!
oh, yeah, I also forgot to write about the moth incident..
well, during "This Picture" a moth was flying by, and decided to stop on Bri's guitar when he didn't noticed it...but then, he saw the insect and he was all like "WTF!?!?!!" and started making strong moves to take away the evil insect...but it resisted..and kept on walking on his guitar, to the point of reaching his shoulder (lol) when the moth was there, Brian finally decided to take it away with his hand, but the evil moth still wasn't satisfied by bothering only Bri...so the insect flew to Steve...and he just started making scared faces and he was all like "aaarggghh!!! take it away from meeee!!!" **lol**
ps. obviously, while Brian tried to escape from the moth, he didn't stop playing or singing, neither Steve...hey, they're professionals they can deal with creepy insects..
